Answer:

Interest receivable

       To Interest revenue

(Being the interest receivable is recorded)

Explanation:

The adjusting entry is as follows

Interest receivable

       To Interest revenue

(Being the interest receivable is recorded)

The computation is shown below:

= Principal × rate of interest × number of days ÷ (total number of days in a year)

= $15,000 × 10% × (30 days ÷ 360 days)

= $125

The 30 days is calculated from May 31 to June 30

Average fixed cost (AFC) A. rises as output rises. B. falls as output falls. C. is always fixed across all output ranges for th
valina [46]

Answer:

D. rises as output falls.

Explanation:

Average fixed cost refers to the fixed cost per unit. Average fixed costs can, therefore, be described as the production's fixed costs divided by the output. Fixed costs are the expenses that remain constant in a period.

Average fixed costs will decline as production increases. Fixed costs are constant; diving them with a large output means spreading them in many quantities. For example, if the fixed costs are $1000 and the output is 2000, the average fixed cost will be $0.5. If the production increases to 4000, then the average fixed cost will decrease to $0.25. A decline in production results in high average fixed costs.

Question Content Area A company reports the following: Sales $1,243,190 Average accounts receivable (net) 94,900 Determine the (
erastova [34]

Accounts Receivable Turnover is 13.1 and the number of days in sales receivables is 27.8 days which is approx 28 days.

What is an Accounts Receivable Turnover?

Accounts Receivable Turnover is a turnover of several times per year a business collects its average accounts receivable.

Given

Sales=$1,243,190 (we assume whole sales on credit bases)

Average Accounts Receivable=$94,900

No of Days in a Year= 365(days)

Required to calculate:

Accounts Receivable Turnover=?

Number of days sales in receiables=?

Calculation of Accounts Receivable Turnover = Sales is divided by the average accounts receivable.

                                                            =$1,243,190/94900

                                                            =13.1 times

Calculation of Number of Days sales in Receivable= Number of Days in Year/ Accounts Receivable Turnover

                            =365/13.1 =28 Days(Approx)

Thus, the Accounts Receivable and a number of days sales in receivables are 13.1 times and 28 days respectively.

Your manager is concerned that costs are being misappropriated due to large balances in ending work in process inventories while
AnnZ [28]

Answer:

The company should use the weighted average method of process costing.

Explanation:

FIFO and Weighted average cost method are the two methods of Process costing. The company is already using the FIFO method for accounting of inventory under which cost are misappropriated into closing WIP.

To solve such issue, the company can use the weighted average method under which cost is calculated by weighted average and then evenly distributed to the unit transferred to other department and the ending work in process.

Example: Suppose company purchased goods lying stock 20000 units at $5 each. Weighted average cost calculated per unit is $3 per unit. Calculate Closing work in process

==> FIFO = 20000*5 = $100,000

==> Weighted average cost = 20000 * 3 =  $60,000

iragen [17]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

Investors are risk adverse, that means that under normal conditions if they have to choose between two securities that yield the same rate of return, they will always choose the less risky.

That means that riskier securities must yield higher rates of return to compensate for the higher risk.
