A neurotransmitter is stored inside synaptic vesicles which is a small sac-like structure. It is released into the synaptic cleft from axon terminals when a cell membrane fuses with vesicles. This process is termed exocytosis with the capability to release neurotransmitters in less than a millisecond.

In neurons of the nervous system, synaptic vesicle exocytosis occurs. Nerve cells communicate by electrical or chemical signals called neurotransmitters which are passed from one neuron to the next one. This transmission of neurotransmitters occurs by exocytosis.

The fundamental biological events of neurotransmission are dependent on neuronal communication and brain function including exocytosis of presynaptic vesicles which is for the release of neurotransmitters and the subsequent endocytosis.

Mitosis is the type of division that is used for growth, repair, and replacement of tissues. Meiosis is the division that takes place to form the gametes for sexual reproduction. It is important in the first stages of meiosis I, to introduce variation and to halve the chromosome number.

Chromosomes numbers are halved (from 46 to 23) during meiosis I because the gametes (sperm and egg) come together and fuse during fertilization to form a zygote. When this fusion occurs (23 from the zygote and 23 from the egg), the chromosome number needs to be returned to that of the parent cell (46).

After the process of mitosis is completed, two cells genetically identical to each pther are produced and have the same number of chromosomes as the parent cell (46 cromosomes).

We could look at biolgy and see how photosynthesis makes use of energy. In photosynthesis we see plant cells converting energy from the sun into usful sugars to help the plant grow.

Now we could look at astronomy and see how energy is used, If you observe stars you can see the different brightnesses and masses, which tells you alot about what type of energy conversion is happening inside the star (nuclear fusion).
