Answer:

there you go.

Explanation:

Once upon a time, there lived a small, young boy named Andy. Andy was in sixth grade but was very tiny for his age. One day while Andy was walking along, he saw this big wall and decided from that point on, he was going to get over it somehow. He decided climb over the wall because, since he was smaller than the other kids he knew that this would help him get more popular and less made fun of for his height. There was not anything special on the other side, just the fact that he got over made him full of joy. He started that day trying to get over the wall. Unfortunately, no matter how hard he tried, he could not make it over. The wall was just too big and Andy was too short and weak. After a week went by, Andy was just about to give up because he had not gotten over that wall, yet. While Andy was trying again, a high school student named Jim came walking by Andy and started watching him. “What are you doing?” asked Jim. “Oh, I am just trying to get over this wall,” replied Andy. As the days went on, Jim saw Andy keep trying to get up and then failing. Jim decided that it was time to ask Andy if he would like some help. So, one day, Jim went to Andy and asked. Andy, with a confused look on his face asked, “Why do you want to help me? I am just a sixth grader and you are in high school.” Jim answered back, “Well that may be, but I saw a friend in need and decided that it would be better if I would help you get over because we would be better together.” Andy was in shock and could not say anything but nod his head in agreement. So, Jim helped Andy overcome the wall, and in the process, they were able to develop the start of a good friendship.

Dear Diary,

Today I went into hiding. I lived in Germany until 1937 before moving to Amsterdam to escape persecution by the Nazi party. My name is Peter Van Daan. The first day of fighting could not be worse. Everyone is asking every question that come from their minds. Just let me get unpacked, people. I go to my room and like I thought, it was going to have something I did not like. It was a ladder.

yours,

Peter

Dear Diary,

I’m just now getting settled in. Yesterday it was hard to get unpacked when everyone is asking you questions. I brought pants, shirts, toothbrush, shoes, some hats, it sounds boring huh. I don't even have word finds. It's time for breakfast. I take a nap. Now it's late in the afternoon and all I am doing is reading. Before I know it it's almost dinner time. I smell beans. I wonder if the beans that are on my plate are the ones we picked up. I think we might be having a bean salad.

Disgustingly Yours,

peter

Dear Diary

I hope today we aren't having anything to do with beans because I got to tell you they do not taste good. This morning I wake up to a smell like old fish. I think it smells like this because we are basically living in a secret annex. To my knowledge no one has touched this place for years. I wish we could open a window. Last night was rough. The bed I am sleeping is hard as a rock. I know that today is not going to be a good day.

Boringly Yours,

Peter

Dear Diary

Last night I woke up to the sound of gunshots. I don’t think it was just in my head because they were loud. When I wake up every morning I am always face to face with a ladder. This morning for breakfast we are having a baked potato. After i'm done eating breakfast I go to my room and read a book. After a couple of minutes i’m bored. I guess it's time for a nap.

Stinkingly yours,

Peter

Dear Diary

This morning when I woke up there was no breakfast. I snuck a bowl of oatmeal. Then I went back to sleep. I woke a couple hours later sweating like a dog. I must have had a nightmare. At lunch I had a tuna sandwich. I read a couple hours and then took a nap. I went to my room to write. Then I heard footsteps and other voices. I think I need………….

Why is the cake important in this part of the scene (Act 1)?
miss Akunina [59]

This question refers to the play "The Diary of Anne Frank." In this play, we learn about a cake that Miep and Mr. Kraler have brought to the annex, where Anne and her family are hiding. The cake reads "Peace in 1944."

The cake is significant because of the way in which it reveals the hidden tensions between the characters. We learn that the characters are initially happy to receive the cake, but that conflict begins soon after. Mr. Dussel believes that Mrs. Van Daan gives her husband a larger piece, while Mr. Van Daan does not want to give Margot cake. This reveals that problems are becoming more serious in the annex, and that tensions are high. It also shows that some characters, such as Mr. Van Daan, are quite selfish and greedy.

What can most likely be inferred about an artist when analyzing his or her per trail of heroes in a work of art
Mekhanik [1.2K]

Answer:

Classical decomposition requires the study of the space the art takes place in, the color composition if applicable, the lines and flow of the work, the technique used, and the emotion and intellectual response it evokes. The space in which the art takes place could be the phsyical setting, the division of space in the work itself (common in paintings) and how it interacts with the space (negative vs. positive space.) The color composition is important in how the colors chosen relate to the work (or the lack there of). The lines and flow of the work tend to pertain more to visual works but anyone that has evaluated the artwork in automotive design know full well the importance of lines in the work. The technique is important especially in phsyical artwork such as sculpture and relief painting. This is also crucial in multimedia work and abstract sculpture. The last part, largely subjective, is what the work solicits from the viewer. Art without emotion could be argued ... isn't art. Andy Worhol explored this idea with pop art (cambell soup can anyone?) on what is the nature of art. Art is either everywhere (in your spoon, fork, stapler, etc.) or some rare thing (a painting by Raphel verus the macroni happy face the 4 year old did) and if it is a rare thing then what does the art have to convey? What elevates art from engineering then? This last part is solely the responsibility of the critic rather then the artist. An artist always sees their art as art, but what prompts the view to consider it art and what steps does the work take to make a believer out of the viewer.
