Answer:

there you go.

Explanation:

Once upon a time, there lived a small, young boy named Andy. Andy was in sixth grade but was very tiny for his age. One day while Andy was walking along, he saw this big wall and decided from that point on, he was going to get over it somehow. He decided climb over the wall because, since he was smaller than the other kids he knew that this would help him get more popular and less made fun of for his height. There was not anything special on the other side, just the fact that he got over made him full of joy. He started that day trying to get over the wall. Unfortunately, no matter how hard he tried, he could not make it over. The wall was just too big and Andy was too short and weak. After a week went by, Andy was just about to give up because he had not gotten over that wall, yet. While Andy was trying again, a high school student named Jim came walking by Andy and started watching him. “What are you doing?” asked Jim. “Oh, I am just trying to get over this wall,” replied Andy. As the days went on, Jim saw Andy keep trying to get up and then failing. Jim decided that it was time to ask Andy if he would like some help. So, one day, Jim went to Andy and asked. Andy, with a confused look on his face asked, “Why do you want to help me? I am just a sixth grader and you are in high school.” Jim answered back, “Well that may be, but I saw a friend in need and decided that it would be better if I would help you get over because we would be better together.” Andy was in shock and could not say anything but nod his head in agreement. So, Jim helped Andy overcome the wall, and in the process, they were able to develop the start of a good friendship.

Dear Diary,

Today I went into hiding. I lived in Germany until 1937 before moving to Amsterdam to escape persecution by the Nazi party. My name is Peter Van Daan. The first day of fighting could not be worse. Everyone is asking every question that come from their minds. Just let me get unpacked, people. I go to my room and like I thought, it was going to have something I did not like. It was a ladder.

yours,

Peter

Dear Diary,

I’m just now getting settled in. Yesterday it was hard to get unpacked when everyone is asking you questions. I brought pants, shirts, toothbrush, shoes, some hats, it sounds boring huh. I don't even have word finds. It's time for breakfast. I take a nap. Now it's late in the afternoon and all I am doing is reading. Before I know it it's almost dinner time. I smell beans. I wonder if the beans that are on my plate are the ones we picked up. I think we might be having a bean salad.

Disgustingly Yours,

peter

Dear Diary

I hope today we aren't having anything to do with beans because I got to tell you they do not taste good. This morning I wake up to a smell like old fish. I think it smells like this because we are basically living in a secret annex. To my knowledge no one has touched this place for years. I wish we could open a window. Last night was rough. The bed I am sleeping is hard as a rock. I know that today is not going to be a good day.

Boringly Yours,

Peter

Dear Diary

Last night I woke up to the sound of gunshots. I don’t think it was just in my head because they were loud. When I wake up every morning I am always face to face with a ladder. This morning for breakfast we are having a baked potato. After i'm done eating breakfast I go to my room and read a book. After a couple of minutes i’m bored. I guess it's time for a nap.

Stinkingly yours,

Peter

Dear Diary

This morning when I woke up there was no breakfast. I snuck a bowl of oatmeal. Then I went back to sleep. I woke a couple hours later sweating like a dog. I must have had a nightmare. At lunch I had a tuna sandwich. I read a couple hours and then took a nap. I went to my room to write. Then I heard footsteps and other voices. I think I need………….

Read the excerpt from "The Storyteller."
Natali [406]

Answer:

The aunt disapproves of the bachelor's story because she disagrees with the moral message it gives to the children.

Explanation:

This question refers to Hector Hugh Munro's story "The Storyteller".

Three children travel with their aunt in a railway carriage. Bored by the long travel, the children keep asking the aunt whole bunch of usual children questions, but the aunt's answers don't satisfy the children's curiosity. She decides to tell them a story, but the kids find it boring and the moral of the story unoriginal.

The man traveling with them shares the same opinion on aunt's storytelling so he gives a try. He tells the story about a girl who was so good that she earned medals for that and was invited to a beautiful park where no other kid was ever allowed. In that park she was atacked by a wolf. She hides, but the wolf hears her medals clinking, finds her and eats her. Basically, the story tells that the girl wouldn't have been eaten hadn't she been so good.

The aunt is shocked by the moral of the story and shows jer disapproval with it in this excerpt.

HELP QUICKLY?? 100 POINTS!!! 10. What images does Thomas create with his words in this stanza (what do you see in your head base
Bad White [126]

Answer (You didn't tell me what poem and which stanza) Is it this poem? :

"Do not go gentle into that good night" by Dylan Thomas

Do not go gentle into that good night,

Old age should burn and rave at close of day;

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,

Because their words had forked no lightning they

Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright

Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,

And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,

Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight

Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,

Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.

Do not go gentle into that good night.

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

What images does Thomas create with his words in this stanza (what do you see in your head based on his descriptions)?:

Thomas wrote "Do not go gentle into that good night" during a very specific moment in Dylan Thomas's life. His father, David John Thomas, had first introduced him to the wonder of language by reading him Shakespeare before bed at night. Thomas's father was a grammar school teacher, but he had always wanted to be a poet but was never able to realize his dream. Thomas wrote "Do not go gentle into that good night" because his father was dying.
