The no. of letters in the world (MATH) = 4

the no. of favourable outcomes = 10

hence‚ probability of getting the letters (MATH) 2/5

So "MATHCOUNTS" has 10 letters.

And "MATH" has 4 letters.

So the probability of you getting the letters "M" "A" "T" "H" is 4/10 or 2/5.

But it has to be in order...

There are 32 ways you can arrange the 4 letters. There is only 1 way you can write "MATH"

So 1/32 probability of 2/5 is 2/160 or 1/80

Suppose the current cost of gasoline is
Elodia [21]

Answer:

The current price index number is $604.2.

Step-by-step explanation:

The index value is the ratio between the current value and the reference value, multiplied by 100.

In this problem, we have that:

Current value = $3.48

Reference value: $0.576

Index price = (3.48/0.576)*100 = $604.2.

The current price index number is $604.2.

Given an exponential function for compounding interest, A(x)=P(1.02)^x, what is the rate of change?
Rudiy27
\bf \qquad \textit{Amount for Exponential Growth}\\\\
A=I(1 + r)^t\qquad
\begin{cases}
A=\textit{accumulated amount}\\
I=\textit{initial amount}\\
r=rate\to r\%\to \frac{r}{100}\\
t=\textit{elapsed time}\\
\end{cases}\\\\
-------------------------------\\\\
\stackrel{A}{A(x)}=\stackrel{I}{P}(1.02)^{\stackrel{t}{x}}\implies A=P(1+\stackrel{r}{0.02})^x\implies \cfrac{r}{100}=0.02
\\\\\\
r=100\cdot 0.02\implies r=\stackrel{\%}{2}
