Read Shakespeare’s “Sonnet 73” and answer the question. That time of year thou mayst in me behold When yellow leaves, or none, o

r few do hang Upon those boughs which shake against the cold, Bare ruined choirs, where late the sweet birds sang In me thou sees the twilight of such day As after sunset fadeth in the west; Which by and by black night doth take away, Death's second self that seals up all in rest. In me thou seest the glowing of such fire That on the ashes of his youth doth lie, As the deathbed whereon it must expire, Consumed with that which it was nourished by. This thou perceiv’st, which makes thy love more strong, To love that well, which thou must leave ere long. According to the sonnet, what makes love stronger? A.the power of hope B.the brightness of life C.the infinite nature of the universe D. the inevitability of death

Answer:

D. the inevitability of death

Explanation:

Shakespeare is telling us that love is stronger even in death because the brightness of life brings love all together and makes you realize you don't have to stop loving someone just because they die.

How does the point of view contribute to how the events are described in the passage? It is about the worst birthday from Harry
djverab [1.8K]

Answer: The point of view contributes to how the events are described in the passage because in Harry Potter's point of view, his twelfth birthday was the worse.

Explanation:

For his twelfth birthday, Harry Potter had to stay upstairs in his room making absolutely no noise whatsoever and pretending he didn't exist. He couldn't even use Hedwig, his owl, to send messages to his friends Hermione and Ron because she was locked up by Uncle Vernon. In addition to this, he met Dobby, the house elf, who was on his bed. Dobby ruined Petunia's sumptuous pudding by making it crash to the ground. This (and the owl) causes the Masons, Uncle Vernon's guests, to leave the house. Point of view contributes to these events because in Harry's opinion, being stuck in his room with no form of communication is the worst way to spend his birthday. He thinks he should be spending it by going out with his friends or socializing.
