Secondary sources analyze a scholarly question and often use primary sources as evidence.

Secondary sources include books and articles about a topic. They may include lists of sources, i.e. bibliographies, that may lead you to other primary or secondary sources.

Databases help you identify articles in scholarly journals or books on a particular topic.

The Articles link in the navigation bar at the left provides links to databases that will lead you to secondary sources (primarily articles).

The Books link in the navigation bar at the left provides information for locating secondary sources via UW Libraries Search.

Which word is correctly used in the sentence?
Ivanshal [37]
The correct answer is: [A] " It's" .
____________________________________
(the choice with the apostrophe).
_____________________________________
" It's been a lovely time."
____________________________________________
Note: The word, "it's", {note: with the apostrophe}; is a contraction for "it is" or "it has". In this case, it stands for "it has". When you need to use "it is" or "it has", you either: 1) write out the "it is" or "it has" ; or, 2) write "it's" (that is, with the apostrophe).

Writing can actually be fun! especially reading what you’ve written afterwards :) even if the topic is an uninteresting one, researching can actually affect your interest/stuff that happens later on! if that didn’t help, just know that if you do it now, you don’t have to do it later lolol

Read the following passage and answer the questions.

Jade sighed and clicked the mouse again. It still wasn't working. Then suddenly the screen went black. "Oh no!" wailed Jade. "It's all gone! I don't have time to start again!"

What was Jade trying to get to work? How do you know?

The computer. It was probably frozen, and would not respond.

How did Jade feel when the screen went black?

She was upset, because the computer stopped working and she was probably doing an assignment, and it had not saved when the computer stopped responding.

How long do you think Jade had been sitting there?

Probably long time, because most likely she had been waiting for the computer to work again, so that she could finish what she was trying to do.

What might Jade have been doing before this happened?

As stated in the previous answers, Jade was most likely doing an assignment, and she was trying to save her progress when the computer suddenly stopped responding.

How do you know?

We can infer the above from her reaction at the computer screen going black. She is distraught at the computer's refusal to work, and her statement at the end: “Oh no! It's all gone! I don't have time to start again!” leads us to believe that whatever she was doing was extremely important and urgent.
