Answer:

After the North crushed the South in the Civil War, lawmakers confronted the errand of putting the isolated nation back together. There was extraordinary discussion about how seriously the previous Confederate states ought to be rebuffed for leaving the Union. With the death of President Lincoln in 1865, it was up to President Andrew Johnson to attempt to rejoin previous adversaries. The Reconstruction Acts of 1867 spread out the procedure for readmitting Southern states into the Union. The Fourteenth Amendment (1868) gave previous slaves national citizenship, and the Fifteenth Amendment (1870) conceded dark men the privilege to cast a ballot. These were just the initial steps, be that as it may, toward remaking the divided country.

During the baroque era, the Catholic church required that religious art
DerKrebs [107]
Baroque artwork was lavish, dramatic, and awe inspiring. The goal of the movement for the Catholic Church was to create a sense of awe and teaching of the Catholic faith. At the time, Protestantism had taken foot and in order to demonstrate the power and glory of the Catholic Church, the papacy used baroque artwork to teach the stories of the bible and even demonstrate the tortures of hell. Many Europeans were unable to read and despite the bible beginning to be translated and more available, Catholics believed the word of God came from the Church. Therefore, the imagery helped to explain the stories of the faith without followers needing the ability to read.

In response to the demand for internal improvements, President James Madison: signed into law John Calhoun’s bill for federally
Lunna [17]

Answer:

Called for a constitutional amendment to empower the federal government to build roads and canals.

Explanation:

During President Madison second term the US had grown rapidly, the nation had gone bigger and transport and communication across the territory became a challenge.

New roads and canals were needed so the country could develop, Madison knew that. But he believed that the Congress did not have the authority to build them, so he defended that the Constitution should be amended so the federal government was authorized to build them.

Congress did not agree with that and did not amend the Constitution, instead, they passed the Bonus Bill, that was vetoed by Madison exactly because he believed that the federal government did not have the power to carry the execution of those powers.
