Answer:

1. consolidation of power

2. by promoting the preservation of the Arian race

Explanation:

Many countries, in the 17th and 18th century were led to consider monarchies. This was done for several reasons, however, the most primary  reason was the consolidation of power by the monarch concerned. This was because the kings were worried about the perpetuation of power to their offspring after they has passed on.

Germany wanted to preserve the Arian race. This was premised on the fact that the Jews were though to have betrayed the country after the Franco-Prussian war.

svet-max [94.6K]

Answer/Explanation:

The States saw Federal government as weak and that they could live without it. With low power Federal Government was not allowed to raise money because Britain left a bad taste in their mouth when the monarchy taxed them too much. As a result States believed that congressional currency was worth just as much power they had.

But, this was the beginning of the use of a common currency.

How and why did the Federalists seem to overreact to the emergence of the Republicans as powerful contenders for national favor?
meriva

The Federalists, a group made up of merchants, bankers, manufacturers, wealthy farmers, plantation owners, in other words, well-educated citizens; thought that Republicans were uneducated and a second class citizens. At Government level, those two groups were represented by Jefferson and Hamilton. Hamilton believed that elite should rule, in comparison to Jefferson who thought that a common man was capable of self-control.

Having this said, the Federalist did not want the Republicans to vote or have any voice in the new nation that was born. A few years later, both parties went to elections and in 1706 the Federalist won the elections. But in 1800, Republicans beat the Federalists and Jefferson became president of the United States. And 1812 a war took place, the Federalists vs the Republicans, and the Federalist party disappeared as a result of their defeat.
