Refer to the figure shown below.

Because the sum of angles on a straight line is 180°, therefore
m∠2 + m∠x = 180°
125° + m∠x = 180°
m∠x = 180 - 125 = 55°

Because the sum of angles in a triangle is 180°, therefore
m∠1 + m∠x + m∠y = 180
60 + 55 + m∠y = 180
m∠y = 180 - 60 - 55 = 65°

Because the sum of angles on a straight line is 180°, therefore
m∠3 + m∠y = 180
m∠3 + 65 = 180
m∠3 = 180 - 65 = 115°

Answer:  m∠3 = 115°

Surface Area (SA) of a Cylinder formula:
SA = 2*pi*r*h+2*pi*r^2
If you fill in the formula:
SA = 2*3.14*2*9+2*3.14*2^2
Simplify:
SA = 6.28*18+6.28*4
SA = 113.04 + 25.12
SA = 138.16 in

Given: ΔPSQ, PS = SQ Perimeter of ΔPSQ = 50 SQ – PQ = 1 Find: Area of ΔPSQ
Lana71 [14]

Answer:

  120 units²

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter = PS + SQ + PQ

50 = SQ + SQ + (SQ -1)

51 = 3SQ

17 = SQ

17 -1 = 16 = PQ

The midpoint of the base is one leg of the right triangle whose other leg is the height of this isosceles triangle. That height is ...

  h = √(17² -(16/2)²) = √225 = 15

Then the area is ...

  A = (1/2)bh = (1/2)(16)(15) = 120 . . . . . square units
