The given statement is True.

The aim and objective of the environmental engineers are to reduce the influence of the land, which is being created on the environment itself. This is because of the attempts being made that the environment is kept in its natural form as much as possible, as any destruction on it may have implications for everyone associated with it.

Thus, this kind of engineers is attempting to determine the exact equilibrium between the developments of the land for human utilization and sustaining environment with least destruction.

Explain how proteins are involved in controlling mitosis.
SashulF [63]

Explanation:

Almost all eukaryotic proteins are subject to post-translational modifications during mitosis and cell cycle, and in particular, reversible phosphorylation being a key event. The recent use of high-throughput experimental analyses has revealed that more than 70% of all eukaryotic proteins are regulated by phosphorylation; however, the mechanism of dephosphorylation, counteracting phosphorylation, is relatively unknown. Recent discoveries have shown that many of the protein phosphatases are involved in the temporal and spatial control of mitotic events, such as mitotic entry, mitotic spindle assembly, chromosome architecture changes and cohesion, and mitotic exit. This implies that certain phosphatases are tightly regulated for timely dephosphorylation of key mitotic phosphoproteins and are essential for the control of various mitotic processes. This review describes the physiological and pathological roles of mitotic phosphatases, as well as the versatile role of various protein phosphatases in several mitotic events.

where they execute important functions. The polypeptide chain of these proteins must cross the lipid bilayer. This presents a pr
spin [16.1K]

Answer:

In this case, it is likely that the polypeptide chain assumed an alpha helix configuration because the lipid bilayer did not have beta-barrel proteins.

Explanation:

A polypeptide chain is naturally polar, however, a lipid bilayer is naturally non-polar. This makes it difficult and even prevents the polypeptide chain from crossing a lipid bilayer, since the composition of these two elements does not allow them to mix. In that case, the polypeptide chain has two options to take to successfully cross the lipid bilayer.

The first option that the polypeptide chain has is to allow the creation of twisted beta sheets in the shape of a closed barrel in its structure. This only works if the lipid bilayer has beta barrel proteins in its composition to act as a transport channel for the polypeptide chain. However, few lipid layers have this protein.

Most likely, the polypeptide chain assumes an alpha helix conformation to cross lipid bilayers that do not have beta-barrel proteins. By assuming the beta conformation, the polypeptide chain reinforces the hydrogen bonds present in its composition, allowing it to cross the lipid bilayer without having its conformation and structure disassembled.

Which exercise should be avoided if a client exhibits anterior pelvic tilt?
saw5 [17]
Anterior pelvic tilt leads to poor posture which increases the risk of knee pain, lower back pain/injuries, and other musculoskeletal disorders. It is a posture problem that affects almost anyone who sits a lot. If a client exhibits this disorder then the exercise of Calf raises should be avoided. Calf raises are methods of exercising the gastrocnemius, tibialis posterior and soleus muscles of the lower leg.
