The Classical Era

The period of 600 BCE to 600 CE featured the development of some of the most influential world belief systems. In ancient China, the Era of Warring states gave rise to influential philosophers including Confucianism,Daoism, and Legalism. In India, the teachings of Siddhartha,Guatama, the Buddha, challenged the colical inequalities associated with Hinduism. The growth of large urban civilizations was also a global phenomenon. This caused more needs for jobs and food throughout the world.

Zoroastrianism, located in ancient Persia, gathered political influence under the Sassanid dynasty. Juadism,Christianity, and eventually Islam developed with similat ideas related to concepts of good vs. evil. States and empires emerged under dynasties like Maurya and Dupta in South Asia and the Zhou,Qin, and Han in East Asia. The mediterranean sea gave rise to a variety of peoples that ranged from the seafaring Phoenicians to imperialistic Roman Empire.

As stated in paragraph one, some of the major turning points during the Classical Era (which is a period of history that highlights enduring traditions that have lasted into modern times and persists in the 21st century) Occurred around the world. In ancient China the rise of influential philosophers began to take place which to this day still has an impact. In India the teachings of beliefs took place. Buddhism is one of the main religions out of these that we use as of today. Across Eurasia, major cities formed in Persia, India, China, Greece, and Rome allowing the growth of urbanizations to expand.
