Write an essay stating your opinion on whether it’s better to plan ahead or to live in the moment

English
1 answer:

I think it’s better to live in the moment. In my opinion, noo matter how much you plan you never know for sure how life is going to play out. Each moment is a gift. You can only experience this zest for life if you are living in the present moment. For me, being present is a great stress reducer. You don’t need to worry about anything. I think, overplanning can lead to unneccessary stress when the planning prevents you from living in the moment. But the most relatable thing, is that plans often don’t manifest themselves the way you want or expect. The more you plan, the more likely you are to become irritated or upset when those plans don’t come into fruition. People should start living in the present, it would make them so much happier.

Examine lines 16 through 18 and select the answer that describes the poetic technique used there.
MArishka [77]
I am not sure which poem you are referring to here, but one poetical technique is called enjambment. This occurs when a line continues to the next line without a pause. Even if there is a stanza break in between, the lines are meant to be read continuously. For example, consider these lines from a poem by William Wordsworth called Beauteous Evening: "The holy time is quiet as a Nun Breathless with adoration; the broad sun Is sinking down in its tranquility" Here, Wordsworth is not intending that you pause after you read "Nun" or "sun." He wants you to read these lines as a continuous sentence or thought. Hope this helps.
