For number seven, it is 940 total students because .4 times 940 is 376. for number eight, it is 28 ounces because 22 ounces is 4/5 of the new package so it would look like this: 22=4/5(?) and to fix that you multiply each side by 5/4 which makes it 27.5 rounded up to 28 ounces.

Answer:

7. 940 students

8. 26 ounces

Step-by-step explanation:

7.

No of enrollment in seventh class = 376

Percentage of enrollment in seventh class with whole school = 40%

(376/40)*100 = 940

Total students expected to enroll in the school next year are 940.

8.

old package weight = 22 ounces

Increase in weight (in %) = 20%

Increase in weight (ounces) = 22*20% = 4.4

old package weight = 22 ounces + 4.4 Ounces = 26.4 ounces

The value 5pi/24 is a solution for the equation 4 cos^2 (4x)-3=0. True or false
Margaret [11]

Let's check.

x = 5π/24

4x = 5π/6

cos 4x = cos(5π/6) = cos 150° = -√3/2

cos² 4x = (-√3/2)^2 = 3/4

4 cos² 4x -3 = 4 (3/4) - 3 = 0

Answer: TRUE
