Expand the left hand side of the equation first. this is easy since two thirds of six is four and two thirds or thirty is twenty.
4x + 20 = x + 5(x+4) - 2x
expand the right hand side :
4x + 20 = x + 5x + 20 -2x

Collect up all the x terms on the right hand side: 4x + 20 = x + 5x - 2x + 20
So the total number of "x" 's on the right hand side is 1 + 5 -2 = 4
4x + 20 = 4x + 20
Hey ! look at that ! you've got the same thing on both sides of the equation ! this means that it doesn't matter what value x is, the equation works for ALL values of x . ( ANSWER)

The probability that a single radar station will detect an enemy plane is 0.65. (a) How many such stations are required to be 98
Inga [223]

Answer:

4 stations

Step-by-step explanation:

If we need to be at least 98% certain that an enemy plane flying over will be detected by at least one station, we must ensure that there is at most a 2% chance that no radar stations detect the plane.

The probability that a single radar station does not detect the plane is 0.35.

For n radar stations:

P=0.02=0.35^n\\n=\frac{log(0.02)}{log(0.35)}\\n=3.73

Rounding up to the next whole station, at least 4 stations are needed.

Help me i’m stressed
Aleks04 [339]

Answer:

<h3>m∠1 = 41°</h3><h3>m∠2 = 41°</h3>

Step-by-step explanation:

<h3>m∠1 = m∠2</h3>

{(6x + 11)}^{o}   =  {(10x - 9)}^{o}  \\ 11 + 9 = 10x - 6x \\ 20 = 4x \\  \frac{20}{4}  =  \frac{4x}{4}  \\ 5 = x \\

x = 5°,

m∠1 = (6x + 11)°

{(6x  + 11)}^{o}  \\ 6(5) + 11 \\ 30 + 11 \\  {41}^{o}  \\
