Answer:

She needs to finish in 48.7 percent of the time it normally takes her

Step-by-step explanation:

6th grade math problem

swim 15 minutes 45 seconds

bike ride   45 minutes

She want to complete the 3 events in 70 minutes

swim + bike + run = 70

15 minutes 45 seconds + 45 minutes + run = 70 minutes

Combine like terms

60 minutes 45 seconds +  run = 70 minutes

Subtract 60 minutes 45 seconds from each side

60 minutes 45 seconds - 50 minutes 45 seconds +  run = 70 minutes - 60 minutes 45 seconds

run = 9 minutes 15 seconds

Her training run was 19 minutes

The percent of time she needs to take is time to finish / training run time

percent = 9 minutes 15 seconds/ 19 minutes

We need to put this in minutes.  There are 60 seconds in 1 minute

9 minutes 15 seconds =  9 minutes  15/60 = 9.25 minutes

percent = 9.25 minutes / 19 minutes

percent = .486842105

percent = 48.7 percent

She needs to finish in 48.7 percent of the time it normally takes her

I don't understand what the question is asking?

OK for this question you need to find out how many more post are needed. If you look at the diagram it shows that one side is 50 feet.  Now there are two sides that will need post, because the barn side need no more.  Now if there are two side both 50 feet, and you need a post every ten feet. How many posts are needed?

Write the slope intercept form of the equation of the line through the given point
ozzi

Answer:

y =  -\frac{3}{4}x

Step-by-step explanation:

slope-intercept form: y = mx + b

Given: slope(m) = -\frac{3}{4}, point (4, -3)

We already have the value of m, but we need to find the value of b. To do this, input the given values of the slope and the point into the equation:

-3 =  -\frac{3}{4}(4) + b

Solve for b:

-3 =  -\frac{3}{4}(4) + b

-3 = -3 + b

0 = b

The value of b is zero. We can now write the equation:

y =  -\frac{3}{4}x + 0

y =  -\frac{3}{4}x

The equation written in slope-intercept form is: y =  -\frac{3}{4}x

Check the picture below

if that red segment, GJ, is parallel to the AE base segment of the triangle, then, the segment GJ is the midsegment of the triangle, and by the side-splitter theorem, those two triangles are similar.
