What is the “rule of law”
wolverine [178]

Answer:

the restriction of the arbitrary exercise of power by subordinating it to well-defined and established laws.

Explanation:

The rule of law is the political philosophy that all citizens and institutions within a country, state, or community are accountable to the same laws. The rule of law is defined in the Encyclopedia Britannica as "the mechanism, process, institution, practice, or norm that supports the equality of all citizens before the law, secures a nonarbitrary form of government, and more generally prevents the arbitrary use of power." The term rule of law is closely related to constitutionalism as well as Rechtsstaat and refers to a political situation, not to any specific legal rule.

A difficulty facing those who plan and review behavioral studies
a_sh-v [17]
A difficulty facing those who plan and review behavioral studies is the risk of harm of the subject. They believe that it can affect negatively on the physical and emotional aspect of the subject.

However, in behavioral and social science, physical and emotional harm is unlikely.  The only purpose of experiments is to observe people's behavior.  Most of the time, subjects do not know that they are part of an experiment because if they do know about it, they will probably change their behavior. They will only be informed as soon as the experiment is over. The results of social experiments and research will become insignificant and unreliable if subjects are aware beforehand.

alexgriva [62]

Ryan, a nine-term congressman from Ohio, is competing against J.D. Vance, a venture investor and author of "Hillbilly Elegy," in that state.

Vance won the former president Trump's support after a competitive primary. Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio), who will step down at the end of current term, is being challenged by the two men for his position.

James David Vance is an American lawyer, politician, novelist, and venture capitalist. Hillbilly Elegy, his memoir published in 2016, helped him gain notoriety.

He was elected to the United States Senate from Ohio in 2022 as a Republican and member of the party.

In his book, J. D. Vance describes what it's like to be born with a social, geographic, and class decline hanging around your neck.

Timothy John Ryan is an American politician serving as a U.S. representative for Ohio since 2003.

A member of the Democratic Party, he has represented Ohio's 13th congressional district since 2013 and previously represented Ohio's 17th congressional district until redistricting.
