History

Nuetrik [128]3 years ago

Fossil fuels such as gasoline have a high content of carbon, and a by-product of the combustion of fossil fuels is a chemical compound made up of one molecule of carbon (chemical symbol: C) and one of oxygen (chemical symbol: O): carbon monoxide (CO).

The properties, this, the characteristics and behavior of carbon monoxide are very different from those of its constituent elements, and they are mostly harmful for the ecology. One of these properties is known as greenhouse gas effect. Just like a greenhouse, built in such a way to maintain a relatively high temperature inside, carbon monoxide goes high in the atmosphere and prevent excess heat caused by the sun on the earth's surface from escaping into space, which increases the overall temperature of the planet.
