28.8((100-25)/100)((100-10)/100)

28.8(75/100)(90/100)

28.8(.75)(.9)

$19.44

Original price : $28.80

25% off : Multiply 28.8 by 1/4

28.8 × 1/4 = 7.2

So, $7.20 are taken off of $28.80.

$28.80 - $7.20 = $21.60

Then, you get an additional 10% off.

10% off is 1/10 off of the already discounted price.

So, multiply 21.6 with 1/10

Turn 1/10 into .1

21.6 × 0.1 = 2.16

So, that's $2.16 off of the already discounted price.

So then you do $21.60 - $2.16

$21.60 - $2.16 = $19.44

So, Al pays $19.44 for the pants.

xenn [34]

Answer:

Future value, A = $4740.39

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the following data;

Principal = $2700

Interest rate = 5.25% = 5.25/100 = 0.0525

Time = 11 years

Number of times, n = 1

To find the future value, we would use the compound interest formula;

A = P(1 + \frac{r}{n})^{nt}

Where;

A is the future value.

P is the principal or starting amount.

r is annual interest rate.

n is the number of times the interest is compounded in a year.

t is the number of years for the compound interest.

Substituting into the equation, we have;

A = 2700(1 + \frac{0.0525}{1})^{1*11}

A = 2700(1 + 0.0525)^{11}

A = 2700(1.0525)^{11}

A = 2700(1.7557)

Future value, A = $4740.39

Prove {0,2,0,2,0,2,...} does not converge
ElenaW [278]
Recall that a sequence x_n is convergent if and only if x_n is also a Cauchy sequence, which means to say that for any \varepsilon>0, we can find a sufficiently large N for which

|x_m-x_n|

whenever both m and n exceed N.

But this never happens if we choose m=n+1 and 0; under these conditions, we have

|x_m-x_n|=|x_{n+1}-x_n|=2\not

Therefore x_n is not a Cauchy sequence and hence does not converge.
