Did the court make the right decision in Plessy v. Ferguson? Why or why not? Make sure to include more modern interpretations of
IrinaVladis [17]
I believe that the Plessy v. Ferguson case was a right decision. Before this supreme court case took place, blacks felt that they shouldn't be part of society since the whites were discriminating them. Blacks were treated very poorly as if they were trash. However, this case gave them a chance to prove other wise. Once "separate but equal" became the result of this case, blacks felt that they were given the same rights as whites because they had the same quality things as whites. But at the same time, they were questioning why they were separating from whites. As time passed, blacks and whites became united and were able to use the same public facilities. In modern day, blacks are no longer considered low class, they are treated equally as whites. Also, blacks and whites are able to use the same bathrooms, water fountains, etc. This case has changed history and has influenced many people in the United States.
Hope this helps.

Erikson classified preschool children as being in the stage of O Trust vs. Mistrust O Autonomy vs Doubt and Shame O Industry vs
jek_recluse [69]

Answer:

Erikson classified preschool children as being in the stage of Initiative vs Guilt .

Explanation:

Erik Erikson was a German psychoanalyst and theorist who developed a theory by means of which the different stages of the psychological development of people are described, and the problems that are developing in each one of them.

Thus, for preschool children (under 6 years old), Erikson determined that their stage is characterized by the clash between initiative and guilt, understanding both concepts as the will to take actions and explore the outside world, and guilt or the fear of failing, doing the wrong thing, or harming someone. Thus, Erikson details that at this stage, the person leaves his family nucleus to relate to the outside world, exploring it and beginning to understand his freedoms, his abilities and the consequences of his actions, as well as personally interacting with other people by outside his family.
