Mathematics

4 0

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Ok, so there are rabbits and chickens

Rabbits have 4 legs and 1 head

Chickens have 2 legs and 1 head

So obviously we have a total of 39 animals

Let's make rabbits = x and chickens = y

So now we can make an equation for heads and and equation for legs.

Legs:

4x + 2y = 126

Heads:

x + y = 39

Now we can use substitution to solve.

If x + y = 39, then y = 39 - x

So,

4x + 2(39-x) = 126

Distribute and Combine like terms

4x + 78 - 2x = 126

2x + 78 = 126

2x = 48

x = 24

Plug x back in to the second equation

(24) + y = 39

y = 15

That means,

x = rabbits = 24

y = chickens = 15

2x – 5x + 16 = –3(x – 6)
lapo4ka [179]

Answer:

0

Step-by-step explanation:

2x – 5x + 16 = –3(x – 6)

2x - 5x + 16 = -3x + 18

-3x + 16 = -3x + 18

0x = 1

x = 0

9(9h + 4b + 9), for h = 7 and b = 3<br><br> Evaluate
irakobra [83]
So, when adding in the 7 and 3 the new equation is:
9{(9x7)+(4x3)+9}

Following pemdas, you have to do parenthesis first. So now the equation is:
9(63+12+9)

Now distribute the 9:

567 + 108 + 81

And finally solve as a normal addition problem:

567 + 108 + 81= 756

So, the answer is 756.

I hope this helps:)

What is the slope of the line shown?
Darya [45]

Answer:

slope = 1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

Pick two convenient integer coordinates

 I'll use  (0,-1) and (2,0)

slope =   (y1-y2)/(x1-x2) =   (-1-0) / ( 0-2) = 1/2

Rewrite the function to make it easy to graph using transformation of its parent function. Describe the graph. y = squ(25x - 25)
Mariana [72]
Parent function is y=√x
result is
-4+√(25(x-1))

-4 was added to whole function so translated 4 units down
it every x was multipied by 25  so horizontally stretched bya factor of 25
then, minus 1 from every x to move to right

so the blanks are
strech 25, 1 to the right, 4 down

Evaluate the expression below.<br><br> 15 ÷ (5 - 2) + 4 =
lana [24]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

This is an order of operations question. First in PEMDOS you want to do your parenthesis, turn (5-2) into 3,

15 ÷ 3 + 4

Then do your divison, turning 15 ÷ 3 into 5

5 + 4

Then finish with 5 + 4

The answer is 9
