Answer:

Explanation:

I'm assuming that the speech referred to is the Dec. 6, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor.

If that is so, only A seems like it could not be the answer. Roosevelt was not speaking of revenge so much as it was to declare war. It was a bold step, because America in general did not want to enter the war.

The best answer of the remaining 3 is B. He gave the reasons for declaring war. As with all multiple choice questions, an argument can also be made for C and D. Both were contained in his speech.

Plz help, will mark brainliest Why is the narrator reading at the beginning of “The Raven”?
ElenaW [278]

Answer:

He's reading to try to distract himself from the grief of losing a "rare and radiant maiden" named Lenore. ... Perhaps the gentle knocking on the door causes him to hope that it's Lenore, and he has to tell himself otherwise in order to quell the likely disappointment that reality will bring him.

Will a certain kind of setting always have the same effect in a story?
matrenka [14]
No, because it can be in a serious sense like "They had a sunny day at the beach" but in a mocking tone like "The day was sunny, mocking me at the loss of my wife in that fire, one year ago today"
