A(h)=4h+70, A(h)=dollars to rent for h hours, h=hours rented.

B(h)=5h+60, same variable explanations...

....

To compare the two values at 6 hours you have:

A(6)=4(6)+70=24+70=$94

B(6)=5(6)+60=30+60=$90

So at 6 hours Company B would charge $4 less than Company A

...

Savings at 7 hours of rental by using B instead of A is:

S(h)=A(h)-B(h)

S(h)=4h+70-5h-60

S(h)=-h+10

S(7)=-7+10=$3

So at 7 hours, Company B saves you $3.

Answer:

42 * 10 + 42 * 5

which agrees with the third option (C) shown on the list of possible answers

Step-by-step explanation:

Notice that using distributive property we can write:

42 * 15 = 42 (10 + 5) = 42 * 10 + 42 * 5

which agrees with the third option (C) shown on the list of possible answers.

The data set is 49, 47, 17, 16, and 10.5. What’s the mean absolute deviation?
KatRina [158]

Answer:

16.08

Step-by-step explanation:

Mean: 10.5 + 16 + 17 + 47 + 49 = 139.5/5 = 27.9

27.9 - 10.5 = 17.4

27.9 - 16 = 11.9

27.9 - 17 = 10.9

27.9 - 47 = 19.1

27.9 - 49 = 21.1

10.9 + 11.9 + 17.4 + 19.1 + 21.1 = 80.4/5 = 16.08

Mean Absolute Deviation: 16.08
