The Three Forks region is an area that is formed between the Arkansas, the Neosho, and the Verdigris, was called the three forks because it was thought that this were three forks of the Arkansas rivers, and eventhough they weren´t much explored in the early 1700´s trade happened and it was mainly done by Jean Pierre Chouteau, who traded fur, honey and buffalo robes with the native americans.
