AH HELP! I dont know what literary theme is please explain it and I swear if anyone puts "In contemporary literary studies, a th

eme is a central topic a text treats. Themes can be divided into two categories: a work's thematic concept is what readers "think the work is about" and its thematic statement being "what the work says about the subject". Themes are often distinguished from premises" im going to slam my head on the key board. Just please explain it better and break it down for me.

Literary theme is the central message. The central message is what the author wants you to learn, maybe the author wabts you to learn something about life and it is a lesson that must be inferred not the narrator clearly stating in the story.

The tone in a story is the view or perspective from which the story is told. If the story is told in the view of the villain's side, then the tone would definitely change. If the tone is told from the hero's perspective, then the tone would be different as well. The point of view reveals the tone because depending on who's point of view you are reading about or from, the mood will have changed. This is why some author's write a chapter in one person's point of view, then write the next chapter in the next person't point of view. The tone is based on the point of view.
