The ancient Romans were the people who originate from the city of Rome in the Modern day Rome. Which was a center of the Roman empire. The Ancient Romans fought many battles and wars in order to expand and protect their empire They also fought Civil wars where they fought in order to gain power. some of the major battles and wars that the Romans fought was the Punic Wars which were fought between Rome and Carthage The conflict between Rome and Carthage was one of the greatest in the ancient world. Throughout the Punic Wars, they grappled for control of the Mediterranean and domination of its civilization The ancient Romans in these wars they conquered many battles.
