Immigration essay about what challenges they faced in the 20th century

English
1 answer:
WINSTONCH [101]4 years ago
8 0
Three main struggles of immigrants:
1) Language barriers
Failure to communicate with Americans means less opportunities for employment and difficulty making new friends/contacts.
2) Cultural/race discrimination
Many immigrants wouldn't get hired for a job because of racism and cultural differences.
3) Financial issues
No work = no money = tough living situations.

If you want someone to write the whole essay for you, you'll have to offer a lot more than 15 points. But this should get you started. :)

In Act III of the play, Mark Antony speaks at the funeral of his friend, Julius Caesar.
Deffense [45]

Answer:

C. In the text, Antony is mournful and still, while in the film he is angry and animated.

Explanation:

In the text, you can tell just by the description and how he is talking that he is mournful and sad. But in the film, he is presented as angry and not so much in deep grief.

prisoha [69]

The verb "looks" would be in this case a linking verb, since it is helping the reader understand the point of view of the observer. The weather itself is of course not "looking" anywhere.

Do not go gentle into that good night is metered how?
pychu [463]

Dylan Thomas’ “Do not go gentle into that good night” follows an iambic pentameter. For that reason, each line of the poem (except the second one of the fifth stanza Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,) has ten syllables (five feet). Each foot follows the same pattern: one unstressed syllable followed by a stressed syllable and so on as in the example

Wild men | who caught | and sang | the sun | in flight

The stressed syllable is in bold.
