Answer:

I will get the bus after 11 minutes.

Step-by-step explanation:

Buses on my route run every 13 minutes from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m.

If i arrive at 8:46 a.m. then i have to calculate how long will i wait for the bus at bus stop.

Now the difference between 7:00 a.m. to 8:46 a.m. is

(8.46 - 7.00) = 1 hour and 46 minutes or 106 minutes

Means i have missed the number of buses = 106/13 ≈ 8

Now i will be waiting for the 9th bus.

So 9th bus will come at = 7: 00 a.m. + (13×9) minutes = 7:00 am + 117 minutes = 7:00 a.m. + 1 hour 57 minutes = At 8:57 a.m.

As i have arrived at 8:46 a.m. and next bus is at 8:57 a.m. so I will wait for (8:57 - 8:46 = 0 : 11 minutes).

Answer will be 11 minutes.

Layla is saving up money for a trip. She already has $650 saved and plans to save an additional $150 each month for the trip. Co
jonny [76]

The amount of money that Layla has saved, s, is going to be what the equation equals. She earns $150 each month, so that would be 150m (slope intercept form equation s=em+b). B is the y-intercept, or the amount that Layla already has saved, which is positive $650.

Your equation is:

s=150m+650

I hope this helps :)

What is -4√12+√75 in the simplest radical form?
nekit [7.7K]

Answer: -3\sqrt{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

-4\sqrt{12} + \sqrt{75}

\sqrt{12} can be written as \sqrt{4} x \sqrt{3}

which is the same as 2\sqrt{3}

Also , \sqrt{75} can be written as \sqrt{25} x\sqrt{3} , which is the same as 5\sqrt{3}

Substituting into the main question , we have

-4 (2\sqrt{3} ) + 5\sqrt{3}

= -8\sqrt{3} + 5\sqrt{3}

= -3\sqrt{3}

at an amusement park a person spends $30 on admission and food and then goes on r number of rides that cost $2 each
stepladder [879]
The question is find the equation, in the function and standard notations, that represent the amount spent in the range of 0 to 5 rides.

Constant cost: $30
Independent variable, number of rides: r
Variable cost: $2r

Total spend, s(r): 30 + 2r

Function: s(r) = 30 + 2r, for 0 ≤r ≤ 5  ----- this is the function notation

Standard form: s(r) is the dependent variable = s

s = 30 + 2r => s - 2r = 30 =>

s + (-2)r = 30, for 0 ≤ r ≤ 5 ------ this is the standard form
