Muslim armies did not force their religious views on conquered people because it is inconsistent with the teachings of Islam. Islam promotes tolerance and peaceful coexistence. The best example of this principle at work is the Ottoman Empire, in which Christians, Jews and other religious minorities lived in peaceful coexistence with one another.

Give at least one example of a service we offer to immigrants today
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Integration”2 is the term the panel uses to describe the changes that both immigrants and their descendants—and the society they have joined—undergo in response to migration. The panel defines integration as the process by which members of immigrant groups and host societies come to resemble one another (Brown and Bean, 2006). That process, which has both economic and sociocultural dimensions, begins with the immigrant generation and continues through the second generation and beyond (Brown and Bean, 2006). The process of integration depends upon the participation of immigrants and their descendants in major social institutions such as schools and the labor market, as well as their social acceptance by other Americans (Alba et al., 2012). Greater integration implies parity of critical life chances with the native-born American majority. This would include reductions in differences between immigrants or their descendants vis-a-vis the general population of native-born over time in indicators such as socioeconomic inequality, residential segregation, and political participation and representation. Used in this way, the term “integration” has gained near-universal acceptance in the international literature on the position of immigrants and their descendants within the society receiving them, during the contemporary era of mass international migration.

Sveta_85 [38]

Germany signed the Treaty of Versailles with the Allies, officially ending World War 1.The British economist John Maynard Keynes left the treaty conference in protest. In his The Economic Consequences of the Peace 1919, Keynes predicted that the stiff war reparations and other harsh terms imposed on Germany by the Treaty would lead to financial collapse of Germany, which in turn would have serious economic and political repercussions on Europe and the World.

On June 5,1919 ,Keynes wrote a note to Lloyd George PM of England, that he was resigning his post in protest of the impending devastation of Europe.

In his book Keynes wrote""if we aim at the impoverishment of Central Europe, vengeance,I dare say will not limp.Nothing can then delay for very long the forces of Reaction and the despairing convulsions of Revolution, before which the horrors of the later German war will fade into nothing, and which will destroy, whoever is victor, the civilisation and the progress of our generation.""
