Answer:

Option lll :

- High affinity binding of SH2 domains to phosphorylated tyrosines

option lV :

- Autophosphorylation resulting in activation of tyrosine kinase.

Explanation:

The binding of SH2 domains to activated growth factor receptors like phosphorylated tyrosines controls the interaction with signaling molecules and the regulation of their activities which leads to insulin binding to the receptor.

At the cellular level, autophosphorylation process which results in activation of tyrosine kinase forms a building block for insulin binding to the receptor with the structural diversity in the mechanisms of their activation by growth factor ligands.

Answer: All of the above (I, II, III, IV)

Explanation:

The Insulin receptor is a large protein that binds to insulin and passes its message into the cell. When insulin binds to the receptor, it causes a change in shape that is propagated inside the cell, which results to MAPK activation, which regulates gene expression via Fos, Jun and Myc, PI3K activation leading to an increase in glucose transport, High affinity binding of SH2 domains to phosphorylated tyrosines and Autophosphorylation resulting in activation of tyrosine kinase.

Mrs Jones is a 55 year old woman, she is 5'6" tall and weighs 140 lbs (63.6 kg). She has suffered a stroke and is unable to eat;
Liula [17]

Given that,

Age of Mrs Jones = 55 years

Height = 5'6''

Weight = 140 lb = 63.6 kg

The tube feeding ordered for her provides:

1 cal/mL and 40 grams of protein/1000 mL.

It is infusing at a rate of 50 mL/hour for 24 hour.

Suppose, We need to find her protein needs per day

We know that,

According to the DRI, 0.8 gram of protein per kg of body weight is required protein per day.

Thus,

We need to calculate her protein needs per day

Using formula for protein needs per day

Protein = 0.8\times W

Put the value of weight

Protein = 0.8\times63.6

Protein = 50.88\ g

Hence, 50.88g of protein are needed per day for Mrs jones.

A taxi driver who is a serial killer kidnaps his passenger and force the passenger to play the game of death with him.
ella [17]

Hey there! I'm happy to help!

We see now that there is a 50% chance of the taxi driver picking the poisonous pill each time. This seems like a high chance at first, but if you keep on doing it over and over again the probability is smaller and smaller that he will survive. The first time it is 50%, then 25%, then 12.5%, and it gets smaller and smaller. Therefore, there must be something else going on for this taxi driver to have such good luck.

We see that passenger is the one who picks it because if the taxi driver picked it, it would be rigged. However, there has to be a way that the passenger always dies. Therefore, it makes the most sense that the poison isn't actually in the pills, but in something else.

We see that each passenger had to swallow the pill with water. When they say that one of them is harmless and the other one is poisonous, they did not clarify that they were talking about the pills. They could have easily been talking about the glasses of water. And, the passenger does not pick which glass of water to drink, so it could easily be rigged so that they are drinking poisoned water.

Sherlock could have easily asked to swallow the pill with his own water, another drink, or to swallow it without any liquid.

I hope that this helps! Have a wonderful day!
