Answer:

Explanation:

Li(s)+1/2 F₂(g)→LiF(s)

In this reaction one mole of product is formed from gaseous state of reactants . So this reaction will represent the reaction for which ΔH∘rxn equals to ΔH∘f .

In other reaction one mole is not produced if we balance the reaction. The reactant must be in gaseous state . ΔH∘f . represents heat of formation . ΔH∘rxn represents heat of reaction .

Collisions between gas particles and the object is the reason a gas exerts pressure on the object.

Explanation:

Gas molecules usually have higher kinetic energy than that of liquid and solids. These molecules, therefore, collide with other molecules of the gas and if the gas is held in a container, the gas molecules will also collide with the walls of the container. As the kinetic energy of the gas molecules increases, due to increased energy input in the gas, so does the energy of collisions between the molecules and the molecules with the walls of the container. This is how the pressure of a gas in a container increases with an increase in temperature.

Even though the gas molecules are tiny, the numerous collisions by the billions of gas molecules of the gas apply a cumulative pressure.

What is the pH of a 2.1 M solution of HClO4?
Flura [38]
Since HCl04 is a strong acid, being [H+], and a molarity of 2.1 M.

To solve for pH:

pH = -log (M) = -log(2.1M) = -0.32, which is clearly a negative number.

However, to verify the answer, just use the pH meter in determining the pH of the solution.
