Answers:

These sentences are perfect examples of the usage of the demonstrative adjectives in the Spanish language.

In this sense, the demonstrative adjectives are those words that accompany the noun to mark the distance that separates the speaker from the object, place or person to which they refer. In addition, they agree in gender and number with the noun they modify.

The three demonstrative adjectives are:

-Este (This): It describes a noun that is close to the speaker and the listener.

-Ese (That): It points out nouns that are further from the speaker and not easily reachable. The noun may be close to the listener, but not the speaker.

-Aquel (That over there): It is referred to nouns that are far away from both the speaker and the listener.

In addiiton, each one has four different forms that vary by gender and number, and they are listed below:

Este

Masculine Singular: Este (This)

Feminine Singular: Esta (This)

Masculine Plural: Estos (These)

Feminine Plural: Estas (These)

Ese

Masculine Singular: Ese (That)

Feminine Singular: Esa (That)

Masculine Plural: Esos (Those)

Feminine Plural: Esas (Those)

Aquel

Masculine Singular: Aquel (That over there)

Feminine Singular: Aquella (That over there)

Masculine Plural: Aquellos (Those over there)

Feminine Plural: Aquellas (Those over there)

Note, in Spanish (similar to English) the Demonstrative Adjective is generally written before the noun it modifies.

Knowing this, let's begin with the answers!:

Answer 1: estos

Me quiero comprar (these) estos zapatos porque me gustan mucho.

This sentence refers to objects (zapatos/shoes) that are close to both the speaker and the listener.

Since zapatos is a plural masculine noun, the correct demonstrative adjective is Estos (These).

Answer 2: ese

Comimos en (that) ese centro comercial la semana pasada.

This sentence refers to a place (centro comercial/shopping center) that is further from the speaker and not easily reachable.

Since centro comercial is a singular masculine noun, the correct demonstrative adjective is Ese (That).

Answer 3: aquella

(that over there) Aquella tienda vende las gafas de sol a un precio muy alto.

This sentence refers to a place (tienda/shop) that is far away from both the speaker and the listener.

Since tienda is a singular feminine noun, the correct demonstrative adjective is Aquella (That over there).

Answer 4: este

Las rebajas en (this) este almacén son legendarias.

This sentence refers to a place (almacén/warehouse) that is close to the speaker and the listener.

Since almacén is a singular masculine noun, the correct demonstrative adjective is Este (This).

Answer 5: esas

(those) Esas botas hacen juego con tus pantalones negros.

This sentence refers to a pair of boots (botas) that are further from the speaker and not easily reachable.

Since botas is a plural feminine noun, the correct demonstrative adjective is Esas (Those) .

Answer 6: estos

Voy a llevar (these) estos pantalones con la blusa roja.

This sentence refers to pants (pantalones) that are close to the speaker and the listener.

Since pantalones is a plural masculine noun, the correct demonstrative adjective is Estos (These).
