One major consequence could be of that added organism to eat another organism's food. For example: If a fox is in an environment eating mostly mice, it will have enough to survive. But if something like a snake comes along and eats all the mice, the fox will starve to death since it mostly relied on mice to live. That's just one example.

Certain species that eat their prey will die out because of the lack of food. Think about the 10% rule. The plants provide the most energy and the predator, the ones on top of the food chain receive the least since it has been lost through the heat. No food=no energy

What results from the removal of a phosphate group from ATP?
emmainna [20.7K]

Answer:

The correct answer is the release of energy.

Explanation:

ATP or Adenosine tri phosphate is an energy rich compound .ATP contain 3 phosphate group joined by two high energy phosphoanhydride linkage.

The hydrolysis of ATP releases the terminal phosphate group or the gamma phosphate group resulting in the formation of ADP and inorganic phosphate(Pi).

The breakdown of 1 molecule of ATP releases -30.5kj energy which is used to our body to carry out different process such as membrane transport, muscle contraction, biosynthesis of macromolecules.

Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Charles Darwin's finding that the finches on the Galapagos islands looked different from the mainland finches despite their common ancestry from South America is an example of C. adaptive radiation.

What is common ancestry?

Common ancestry refers to blood relationships. Thus, two species may have common ancestry if they are related by blood.

According to Charles Darwin, common ancestry explains the similarities between different species.

However, a rapid increase in the number of species with a common ancestor, characterized by great ecological and morphological diversity results from adaptive radiation.

Thus, Charles Darwin's finding that the finches on the Galapagos islands looked different from the mainland finches despite their common ancestry from South America is an example of C. adaptive radiation.
