Ok so the area of the triangle on the left would be:
A = (1/2)*bh
A = (1/2)*30*78
= 15*78
= 1170 ft^2

Now since the shape is a parallelogram, the two triangles should have the same area (imagine taking off the triangle on the left and sticking it next to the triangle on the right - this will form a rectangle made up of the two triangles)

So area of the garden = 1170*2 = 2340 ft^2
