There are two types of plant tissues: meristematic tissue found in plant regions of continuous cell division and growth, and permanent (or non-meristematic) tissue consisting of cells that are no longer actively dividing.Meristems produce cells that differentiate into three secondary tissue types: dermal tissue which covers and protects the plant, vascular tissue which transports water, minerals, and sugars and ground tissue which serves as a site for photosynthesis, supports vascular tissue, and stores nutrients.Vascular tissue is made of xylem tissue which transports water and nutrients from the roots to different parts of the plant and phloem tissue which transports organic compounds from the site of photosynthesis to other parts of the plant. The xylem and phloem always lie next to each other forming a structure called a vascular bundle in stems and a vascular stele or vascular cylinder in roots.Parts of the shoot system include the vegetative parts, such as the leaves and the stems, and the reproductive parts, such as the flowers and fruits.

What kind of monomers make up lipids
bogdanovich [222]

The kind of monomers that make up the lipids are the fatty acid and the glycerol.

Lipids or the fats are the organic compounds containing two kinds of monomers called the fatty acid and the glycerol. Fatty acids are the carboxylic acids made up of a hydrocarbon chain with a terminal hydroxyl group. Glycerol is an alcohol containing three carbon, five hydrogen and multiple hydroxyl groups (usually three) and it forms the back bone of all the lipids. The most abundant lipid called the triglycerides are the esters of fatty acids and glycerol.

What pH did you estimate for ammonia using the pHydrion paper?
klio [65]

Answer: Between 8 and 14

Explanation: Ammonia is an inorganic compound of formula NH₃. Also known as ammonium hydroxide, it behaves as a weak base.

pHydrion paper is a chemical test indicator, i.e., it indicates the pH of a substance.

If inserted in Ammonia, pHydrion will indicate a range of 8 to 14 because in pH scale, indication of base is over 8 and up to 14. The exact number depends on the hydrogen ion concentration of the substance.
