Points on BC:
(-5, 5) and (0,1)
Slope = (5-1)/(-5-0)
Slope = -4/5

y = mx + c
y = -4/5x + c

at point (0,1)
1 = -4/5(0) + c
c = 1

y = -4/5x + 1
5y = -4x + 5
4x + 5y = 5 (Answer D)

henry rented a truck for one day. there was a base Fee of $18.95, and there was an additional charge of $.79 for each mile drive
crimeas [40]

Henry drove the truck for 208 miles

Solution:

Given that,

Base fee = $ 18.95

Additional charge of $.79 for each mile driven

Let "x" be the miles driven

Henry had to pay $183.27 when he returned the truck

Therefore,

Cost for rent = base fee + charge for "x" miles

183.27 = 18.95 + 0.79x

0.79x = 183.27 - 18.95

0.79x = 164.32

Divide both sides by 0.79

x = 208

Thus Henry drove for 208 miles the truck

10/16 because you multiply 8x2 to get sixteen, the denominator you need. So whatever you do to the denominator, you do to the numerator. So 5x2 is 10. 10/16
