pav-90 [236]

This question is referring to the historical Buddha, also known as Gautama Buddha or Siddhartha Gautama, among other names, whose teachings were the origin of Buddhism. He was born into a noble family and, as a young man, he had a very pleasurable existence, but after leaving his palace one day and seeing an old man, a sick man, and a dead man, he soon realized that those pleasures were momentary and superficial, and that no one could avoid sickness, age, and death. For that reason, he decided to renounce his princely life and quested for nirvana, the termination of all sickness, death, and old age, which, after living a very ascetic life for a few years, he attained practicing the Middle Way, which convinced him of rejecting both self-indulgence and self-denial. This eventually led him to Enlightenment, which turned him into the Buddha. He spent the rest of his life teaching others.

What was William Wilberforce fighting for?
sweet [91]

William Wilberforce was an English politician who became the voice of the abolition movement in Parliament. He was a slightly built man, about five foot three in height, and suffered from bouts of bad health. He was born in Hull, into a rich merchant family. As a child, whilst living with his uncle in London, he was taken to hear John Newton preach. It made a great impression on him but he returned home and soon became part of fashionable society, attending the theatre and races, where he watched his own horse run.

Answer:

Building B; it is around 33.29 feet taller than building A

Explanation:

Given that when things are nearer they appear bigger, hence, if the buildings have the same angular elevation from the same spot, the taller building is further away.

This is based on the fact that the hypotenuse touches the top of building A and keeps ongoing at the same angle to building B, further away.

Therefore, we have =>

tan A = ht / 40

ht A = 40 tan 59 = 66.57 ft

tan B =ht / 60

ht B = 60 tan 59 = 99.86 ft.

Therefore, 99.86ft - 66.57ft = 33.29fr

Hence, Building B is taller by 33.29
