We should invest the effort to cure individuals with personality disorders. When a person has a personality disorder, it is often caused by distress, such as Dissociative Identity Disorder. It would be reasonable as to not try to cure the illness, as it was originally formed to help the individual from the distress. But, it is just that. An illness. If the majority of the individuals with personality disorders would like to remove the illness from them, then we should invest in it. While, if the individual does not want the treatment they do not have to. But, it the illness that they have may cause harm to them, and the people around them, it would be appropriate to force the treatment.
My father is an important man. He works all week so that I can eat, have clothes to eat, and have a place to sleep. He repairs everything that breaks down around the house. He plays ball and builds things with me. He is my friend.
