so he has 220 bushels of beans, and everyday he sells 16¼ bushels, for 7 days, that's just 16¼ + 16¼ + 16¼ + 16¼ + 16¼ + 16¼ + 16¼, or just 7(16¼).

so his number changed from 220 to 7(16¼), or 220 - 7(16¼).

let's change the mixed fraction to improper, and multiply, and then subtract.

\bf \stackrel{mixed}{16\frac{1}{4}}\implies \cfrac{16\cdot 4+1}{4}\implies \stackrel{improper}{\cfrac{65}{4}}~\hfill 7\cdot \cfrac{65}{4}\implies \cfrac{455}{4}
\\\\[-0.35em]
\rule{34em}{0.25pt}\\\\
220-\cfrac{455}{4}\implies \stackrel{\textit{LCD is 4}}{\cfrac{(4)220-(1)455}{4}}\implies \cfrac{880-455}{4}\implies \cfrac{425}{4}\implies 106\frac{1}{4}

Since the farmer sells an average of 16.25 bushels a day and it has been 7 days, you would multiply 16.25 by 7 to find the amount sold in a week aka the change in the total bushels the farmer has to sell which is a change of 113.75 or 113 3/4.

What percent of 33 is 96
Nataly_w [17]
<span>96/x=100/33
(96/x)*x=(100/33)*x       - we multiply both sides of the equation by x
96=3.0303030303*x       - we divide both sides of the equation by (3.0303030303) to get x
96/3.0303030303=x
31.68=x
x=31.68

now we have:
33% of 96=31.68

Variable termes X-12-3X+22
adell [148]

Answer: x + 12 = 3x + -22

12 + x = 3x + -22

Reorder the terms:

12 + x = -22 + 3x

Solving

12 + x = -22 + 3x

Solving for variable 'x'.

Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right.

Add '-3x' to each side of the equation.

12 + x + -3x = -22 + 3x + -3x

Combine like terms: x + -3x = -2x

12 + -2x = -22 + 3x + -3x

Combine like terms: 3x + -3x = 0

12 + -2x = -22 + 0

12 + -2x = -22

Add '-12' to each side of the equation.

12 + -12 + -2x = -22 + -12

Combine like terms: 12 + -12 = 0

0 + -2x = -22 + -12

-2x = -22 + -12

Combine like terms: -22 + -12 = -34

-2x = -34

Divide each side by '-2'.

x = 17

Simplifying

x = 17
