In the steps of the decision making process for major purchases, for me, the most difficult is the part of making the decision itself. Information are already gathered, the goals are presented as well as the consequences, but there are times that your actual decision is overpowered by self-interest instead of objectivity. Hope this helps.

Organizations are using social computing in which of the following functions?
Anarel [89]

Answer:

D) All of these

Explanation:

Social computing is related to Computer Science. It however, looks at the intersection or link that exists between computational systems and social behavior. Social Computing specifically observes human or social behavior and used the data gathered to design systems, software and environments that can interact socially with humans. The objective of this design is to make information on several areas available to people and also allow for adequate interactions.

Social computing is everywhere, from the e-mails to the use of the social media, advertisements and use of blogs among several others. Social computing therefore is not just used by organisations for only a single function but it is now integrated into most if not all the functions of businesses.

For instance, social networks and blogs are currently being used for marketing. Customer needs can be tailored based on their cookies from their browsers and then relevant sales or product information can be sent to individual customers based on preferences. This is Customer Relationship Management. Finally, It is easier to recruit now and check the status of individual employee or potential employee on social sites, send them emails as well as instant messages.

A gift shop sells 1000 boxes of scented candles a year. The ordering cost is $50 for scented candles, and holding cost is $10 pe
sattari [20]

Answer:

d. $1000

Explanation:

Annual demand, D = 1000 boxes

Ordering cost, Co = $50

Holding cost = $10 per box per year

Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) is calculated as;

EOQ = SQRT [(2 x D x Co) / H]

where,

D = Annual demand

Co = Ordering cost

H = Holding cost

Putting the given values in the above formula, we get;

EOQ = SQRT [(2 x 1000 x 50) / 10]

EOQ = 100 boxes

Total ordering cost is calculated as;

Total ordering cost = D/EOQ x Co

Total ordering cost = (1000/100) x 50

Total ordering cost = $500

Total holding cost is calculated as;

Total holding cost = EOQ/2 x H

Total holding cost = (100/2) x 10 0

Total holding cost = $500

The minimum annual amount of these combined costs the gift shop could pay is;

Minimum annual amount = Total ordering cost + Total holding cost

                                          = $500 + $500

                                          = $1,000

Therefore, The minimum annual amount of these combined costs the gift shop could pay is $1,000.

If the paper reports a particular corporate bond price as 79.5, the price an investor would have to pay is ________.
mylen [45]
The answer is an investor would have to pay is $795. A bond quote is the last price at which a bond traded, expressed as a percentage of par value and transformed to a point scale. Par value is generally set at 100, signifying 100% of a bond's face value of $1,000 meaning the price of the bond is quoted as a percentage of $1000. In this case, the price is 79.5% of $1,000 or $795. This would be considered as a discounted bond.
