1- Douglas MacArthur, born January 26, 1880 in Little Rock, Arkansas, was an American general. He was the Chief of Staff of the US Army in the 1930s and played a leading role in the Pacific Theater of World War II. He received the Medal of Honor for his service during the Philippines campaign. He is one of only five people to have reached the rank of Army General in the US Army.
