Given A = {x | x < 1}, B = {x | x ≥ 5}, and C = {x | x = 5}, match the following items. 1. A B Ø 2. A C {x | x ≥ 5} 3. B C {x
ivann1987 [24]

Answer:

The matching is shown below.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given sets are defined as

A = {x | x < 1}

It means all the values of x which are less than 1.

B = {x | x ≥ 5}

It means all the values of x which are greater than or equal to 5.

C = {x | x = 5}

It means all the value of x is 5.

Union of two sets contains all the elements of both sets.

Intersection of two sets contains only common elements of both sets.

The matching is shown below.

        Sets                              Correct value

1.     A ∪ B                         {x | x < 1 or x ≥ 5}

2. A ∪ C                         {x | x < 1 or x = 5}

3. B ∪ C                         {x | x ≥ 5}

4. A ∩ B                         Ø

5. B ∩ C                         {x | x = 5}

SAT scores are distributed with a mean of 1,500 and a standard deviation of 300. You are interested in estimating the average SA
kotegsom [21]

Answer:

I should use at least 304 students

Step-by-step explanation:

Margin error (E) = t × sd/√n

E = 40

sd = 300

confidence level (C) = 98% = 0.98

significance level = 1 - C = 1 - 0.98 = 0.02 = 2%

t-value corresponding to 2% significance level and infinity degree of freedom is 2.326

n = (t×sd/E)^2 = (2.326×300/40)^2 = 17.445^2 = 304 (to the nearest integer)

Can u please help me with this math assignment
Troyanec [42]
Hard to read sideways but what I got from that is that you have a right triangle and you are trying to explain the other angles?
Both of the other two angles would be 45 because an angle is 180 total. If it is a right angle, that means that there is a 90 degree angle. 180-90=90. In a right angle, the other two angles are the same in degree. Therefor 90/2 is 45. 45 applies to both of the acute angles. I hope this helps! Good luck :)
