Correct answer: D. The spread of US culture to other parts of the world.

There is a connection also to the idea of America's growing power in the world after World War II, but to talk about "Americanization" refers to the cultural influence and impact of America across the globe, which also began to grow in the second half of the 20th century. British writer Chris Blackhurst described his own feelings as a young man in northern England, where he and his friends thought of Americans as "having greater knowledge and experience – not of politics or world affairs, but fashion, film, music, cars, shopping. We craved to be American." (See article: "How the World Was Won: The Americanization of Everywhere," The Independent, October 2, 2014.)

An example of the spread of Americanization across the world can be seen in the growth of fast-food chain McDonald's. McDonald's was founded in California in the USA in 1948. In the 1960s, McDonald's began opening restaurants in other countries -- Canada and Costa Rica first, and kept going from there. Today McDonald's has 32,000 locations in 117 countries. That's just one example of Americanization -- spreading a menu and food culture worldwide. Other examples from music and movies and the arts could be cited, as well as clothes and cars and many other American trends.

Not everyone views the spread of American culture worldwide as a good thing. Some see it as clouding the cultural heritage of other lands when they fall under US cultural influence.

The Watergate Scandal was a significant part of presidential history. This even would result in Nixon's resignation and what would have been his guaranteed impeachment. The Watergate Scandal took an impact on politics as a whole. Politicians are known as "liars" and people who keep secrets from the public. The Watergate Scandal is something Nixon can never make up for, but will always beremembered for.

Nixon had seven men who had helped him the whole time. These men are known as the “Watergate Seven”. The “Watergate Seven” involved John Mitchell, H.R. Haldeman, Kenneth Parkinson, Charles Colson, Gordon Strachan, John Ehrlichman, and Robert Mardian. The “Watergate Seven” did many different things in the Watergate Scandal. They broke into the Watergate hotel, wiretapped phones and attempted burglaries. The Watergate Scandal was truly the biggest political scandal in United States History. Over forty people where charged with crimes relating to the scandal. Bernstein and Woodward were given a fantastic oppourtunity to uncover something truly significant in history. The twenty-one months of investigative reporting done by these two men would ruin Nixon’s name and make these two common everyday reporters lives change forever. Woodward first got his life changing call on June 17th 1972 with his editor telling him about a small invasion of the Democratic Party Headquarters. With being related to the scandal, two members of President Nixon’s cabinet, H.R. Hadlemen and John Ehrlichman, quickly resigned. When first thought of the president even having something to do with the Watergate Scandal, he made every effort to possibly hide this career ruining event. How did industrialists and socialists views on industrialization differ?
tester [92]

Answer:

Americans viewed the industrialists as robber barons and did not hold trust in them.

Many of the industrialists crossed the line and hoarded their money and did not make it in a positive manner. Many lied, cheated, and were linked to old money. There were two types of industrialists, Robber Barons were the untrusted, and then the ones who actually made a positive living and helped others were called, Captains of Industry.
