FALSE.

Natural disasters have many consequences beside property damage and loss of life.

One of the main consequences produced are difficulties with public health. Natural disasters tend to destroy facilities for water and toilet hygiene. This means that people cannot safely dispose of human waste and do not have access to clean water. Also, standing water can be a breeding ground for pathogenic bacteria and disease vectors like mosquitoes.

They also have a negative effect on the environment. Natural disasters often affect ecosystems, polluting the air and water and demolishing habitats.

At the same time, these disasters have a great impact on the affected place's economy. The government has to invest great amounts of money: firstly, to evacuate the people affected and provide them with food and water; and then to rebuild and fix all the damage the disaster has done to the city's infraestructure.
