The wood is 10/12 yard long.

She used 3/4 of the wood:
\dfrac{3}{4}  \times  \dfrac{10}{12}

\dfrac{3}{4}  \times  \dfrac{2 \times 5}{3 \times 4}

\dfrac{3}{8} \text { yard}

Calculate yards left:

\dfrac{10}{12} - \dfrac{3}{8}

=  \dfrac{20}{24} - \dfrac{9}{24}

=  \dfrac{11}{24} \text { yard left}

Consider the radical equation (3√6-x)+4=-8.Check the solution.
Makovka662 [10]

Answer:

x=12+3\sqrt{6}\\

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello! to solve this exercise we must apply algebra and the concept of the equality of the equations, remember what we do on the side of the equation we must repeat it on the other side in order not to alter the equality

(3\sqrt{6} -x)+4=-8\\(3\sqrt{6} -x)+4-4=-8-4\\3\sqrt{6} -x=-12\\3\sqrt{6}-3\sqrt{6} -x=-12-3\sqrt{6}\\-x=-12-3\sqrt{6}\\

x=12+3\sqrt{6}\\

to verify the solution we replace x in the original equation

(3\sqrt{6} -x)+4=-8\\(3\sqrt{6} -(12+3\sqrt{6})+4=-8\\-12+4=-8\\-8=-8

how equality is met we have verified the answer
