Answer:

Scout was troubled by the fact that Walter spilled syrup all over her vegetables and meat, since she was brought up in a home that took table manners into consideration.

Walter's acts go against all that Scout was taught from an early age. It is gross and discourteous to spill the syrup all over your plate.

Read the following passage from Langston Hughes's "Theme for English B" and answer the question. It's not easy to know what is t
Illusion [34]

The answer is:

 • repetition
 • alliteration
 • assonance

In the pasage from "Theme for English B," the author Langston Hughes makes use of repetition when he reproduces the words and, hear, me, and you several times.

He also uses alliteration, which is the evident repetition of identical consonant sounds in nearby syllables. For example, true and twenty-two, as well as hear and Harlem.

Finally, Hughes also employs assonance, which is the resemblance in vowel sounds among syllables and words. For instance, true, two, you and too; and feel, see and we.
