Social Darwinism used the idea of “survival of the fittest” to make a case for a laissezfaire approach to business. Social Darwinists thought the government should not regulate business because only the best should last. Write a brief essay explaining some of the government’s actions around the turn of the century that social Darwinists would not have approved of. Since the Social Darwinists were practical against all of the government's policy, that made the social Darwinism believe that all of the business and most capable individuals will withstand anything and that they will be invincible. Most people such as most presidents believed that monopoly was bad for the economy because they can take advantage of the prices. Adding on, the Social Darwinists did not accept the fact that the New Deal program would meddle to help people that are living in the state fo being poor and being jobless.
