In the presidential campaign of 1968 there was a  battle for control of the Democratic Party. On one hand Humphrey with his old politics and, on the other, Mc Carthy and Kennedy with their new politics. The main reason of the division was the Vietnam War. It intensified Humphrey's unpopularity.

Johnson announced that he would not run for a reelection, and that's when Humphrey decided to run, launching his campaign for presidency right after. Considering that he was loyal to Johnson's administration policies considering the Vietnam War, his own party disliked the idea of him running and they opposed to  it, since they disagreed on how Johnson was dealing with it all.

Why did Muslim people in the Middle East and other parts of Asia experience hardship during the time of the European Middle Ages
Hatshy [7]

A. Central Asian armies under the Mongols repeatedly invaded and conquered parts of the Muslim world.

During the European Middle Ages, the Asian and Muslim Empires were reaching a peak of advancement and empire building.

The Muslim Empires experienced invasions and war with the Mongols in an attempt to expand the Mongol Empire. Much of the conquest centered on gaining access to trade routes and creating power through the access to resources. The Mongols were fierce warriors who studied the places they were attacking and used modern weaponry to advance their empire. The empire at its peak of size stretched from China to eastern Europe and south to India.

Why was george h. w. bush criticized by many blacks, and by jesse jackson, during his election campaign in 1988?
Kaylis [27]
He was criticized because of his position on African-Americans that was often racist. There were even racist ads about an African-American felon who raped a white woman in a state that was run by Bush's democratic opponent, and the goal of the add was to vote for Bush who could somehow stop things like that. He was criticized because of that kind of racist behavior.
