ut a name to. But I'm desperate. I begin to feel I have no personality. I'm a server of food and a putter-on of pants and a bedmaker, somebody who can be called on when you want something. But who am I?’” –The Feminine Mystique, Betty Friedan “The appearance of significant women dramatists in significant numbers now is a real reflection of a change in women's attitude toward themselves. Len [333]

Answer:

Jane ran to the store is an independent clause

Explanation:

Independent Clause:

An independent clause can stand on its own, offering full meaning. There is no need to join any other clause. An independent clause can also be as short as just two words e.g He smiled. So presence of object is not mandatory in an independent clause.

Jane ran to the store is independent clause because it has all the three components of an independent clause i.e

1 Has a subject - Jane

2 has an action or predicate - ran to the store (a predicate)

3 Expresses a complete thought

Subordinate Clause:

It does not express a complete thought.

e.g Because he likes stories.

A clause becomes subordinate because of;

1: The presence of marker words (e.g Before, after, because, since, in order to, although, though, whenever, wherever, whether, while, even though, even if)

2: Conjunction (And, or, nor, but, yet)

Subordinate/dependent clause MUST be joined to another clause to make the meaning clear.

Svet_ta [14]

Answer:

You can use this as your hook if you'd like:

"Have you ever wondered how a certain species can affect the world? Well, Jellyfish are an aquatic species that live in oceans, which they have their negative effects on the world. As a matter of fact, jellyfish are overpopulated, and this can cause many effects, especially to fisheries, a place where fish are caught."

I did my best with that, but you can fix it how you'd like.

To protect their son, they left him in the hand of great wizards. As he grew up his “mother and father” had noticed that he was the prince of darkness and light. When Jason was five, his magic got out of control and he killed both of the great wizards.

He then vowed to never use his magic against unless he has to. 15 years later. “Hey, killer boy.” said the bullied. “I am not a killer!” Jason screamed. “Take this.” The bullied said. As he throws a deadly fireball at him. Jason jump out the way. He caught it and threw it back at the bullied. “Jason, that could have killed him,” said Mr. Jake the head of the school. “I don’t care,” Jason said.

Jason runs into the forbidden forest. “No, Don’t go in there,” Mr.Jake said too late as a monster appear so deadly that it even he couldn’t stop. Jason ran back behind Mr. Jake.
