Read this passage from a 1946 speech by Winston Churchill:

History

Answer:

B. It demonstrated Western Europeans' growing fears about the spread of communism.

Explanation:

Churchill described the Soviet threat as an "iron curtain." Clearly, he thought it was dangerous and pervasive. This was near the start of the Cold War tensions, so we can be sure that A and D are not correct. At this point, capitalism and communism are rallying their forces for defense or attack. And C doesn't make sense, because Churchill does not reference or imply nuclear power in any context in this quote.

Why has the use of english as the global language caused controversy in southeast asia?
anastassius [24]
The English language tends to be dominant when compared to competing native tongues, even though English is used as the language that is most conducive towards conducting global business. But the problem in Asia is that the English language is not used or learned with the purpose of communicating with those who speak English as the native tongue, but the English language is not representative or all-inclusive of the Asian culture.

How did the military success of the ottoman empire affect europe around the time of the renaissance?
GarryVolchara [31]

The military success of the Ottoman Empire had a big influence on the European states and it resulted into much greater unity in Europe.

The Ottoman Empire at its peak was a very strong military force, and apart from the Russians, no other country managed to back it of in a one on one war/battle. Once the Ottomans took over the Balkans and started closing in on Central and Western Europe by ''knocking'' on the doors of Vienna, the alarm has been set under the threat and the countries from Central and Western Europe united to manage to back their advancement of and not allowed them to penetrate deeper into the continent.
