The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a set of infrastructure projects under construction in Pakistan.

Pakistan hopes that Chinese investments will help develop the transport system and improve the country's infrastructure in general. The CPEC, in theory, would facilitate the political and economic unification of the country, which has separatist provinces such as Baluchistan and Gilgit-Baltistan; and others that operate under tribal lifestyles and are poorly integrated with the economic and power centers. China, for its part, seeks to facilitate access to strategically important regions - such as the Middle East and Africa - via the Indian Ocean, faster and relatively safely from the traditional and troubled Malacca Strait. One of the issues regarding the Corridor project is that it runs through delicate regions, notably Gilgilt-Baltistan in Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Consequently, one of the stages of CPEC clashes with the interests of neighboring country India, whose claim considers such territory an integral part of their country.

In which sentence does the narrator first realize that there is an opportunity for him as a tour guide? Answer choices for the a
Rina8888 [55]

Answer:

The correct answer is sentence D)

Explanation:

the last sentence portrays an audience who had yet to visit Dharavi and who had a wrong idea about how it looked and what it was like.

The sentence reads "<u>I could see</u> that they all thought Dharavi was spectacular to look at..."

So it's safe to say that amongst the other sentences, the first three words "I could see" can be interpreted to mean that the tour guide just realised there was an opportunity.

Cheers.

It is the United States’ policy of asserting its full authority over the American continent in 1823. 4. What do you predict are the dangers of appeasement?
gavmur [86]
Good example of appeasement being used is the Munich Conference (1938), and the Potsdam Conference (1945). Many see appeasement as surrendering to another country’s wishes, which can make a nation and its leader look weak. It’s a temporary measure taken to stop a war, but many times is unsuccessful in the long run. Leaders such as Neville Chamberlain and FDR used this strategy with Hitler and Stalin, who both took advantage of what they had been given. Appeasement can put a country in a weak position due to them losing territory, resources, etc. It’s a very diplomatic policy, but usually only curbs a threat for a short time. Hope this helped a little! :)
